In a step that enhances community partnership and is in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, the College of Dentistry at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University signed a cooperation agreement with the Autism Center in the North. The signing of the agreement was attended by Her Excellency the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Rahaf bint Abdullah Al-Muhareb, and the Director of the Autism Center in the North, Ms. Rabab bint Mohammed Al-Ghadeer..
The agreement aims to enable people with special needs to actively participate in society and enhance their quality of life, by focusing on fruitful cooperation in providing therapeutic, research and awareness services, in addition to enhancing the role of social responsibility for educational institutions.
Agreed areas of cooperation include:
- Providing health care for the mouth and teeth of the beneficiaries.
- Spreading awareness and health education.
- Cooperation in scientific research related to people with special needs.
This agreement comes as part of the joint efforts to achieve sustainable development, in a way that contributes to community service and enhances integration between the educational, health and social sectors.
