- Reviewing promotion applications submitted by faculty members and submitting recommendations to the Scientific Council.
- Preparing a list of proposed reviewers.
- Reviewing reviewers' reports and submitting recommendations to the Scientific Council.
- Proposing procedures governing the Committee's work and submitting its recommendations to the Scientific Council.
