The committee is responsible for all matters related to scientific research and innovation at the university in accordance with approved systems, regulations, and rules. Specifically, its responsibilities include the following:
- Overseeing the university's performance in developing scientific research and innovation, and directing it to address local and international societal issues.
- Recommending research rules and regulations to the Scientific Council.
- Approving research initiatives, studies, and innovations that align with the university's vision and strategic directions.
- Any matters referred to it by the Scientific Council or the University President.
- Any other tasks or competencies defined by the executive rules.
