Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University signs a memorandum of cooperation with the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society

​Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society, as it aims to promote cooperation between them and activate the non-profit sector to support national development and achieve the vision of Kingdom Saudi Arabia in the educational and community aspects in various fields of training and joint research.

 

The agreement was signed at the university headquarters by Vice-Rector for Health Affairs, Dr. Ghadah bint Abdulaziz bin Saif and the Secretary General of the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society, Dr. Sarah bint Tariq Al-Rashoud.

 

Dr. Ghadah bint Saif stressed that this mutual cooperation seeks to achieve common goals through training and research programs, which target students of health colleges, especially those of pharmacy, health education and epidemiology programs.

 

Bint Saif pointed out that the main objectives of this memorandum are to enhance the foundations and practices of drug education among students, in addition to providing opportunities for specialists and researchers to take advantage of the information available to conduct joint research between them. While stressing the university's keenness to hold seminars, conferences, and specialized training programs that target health practitioners and different groups of society with the aim of raising the level of drug awareness among all segments of society.

 

Dr. Sarah Al-Rashoud said that the partnership and cooperation between the university and the Society achieves integration of the non-profit health sector and education through the exchange of expertise and skills, which is one of the most important goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. She added that this integration is achieved through conducting various educational and community programs with clear development, health and community goals and firm plans, the most important of which is the dissemination of drug awareness and training, research and studies in addition to emphasizing the support of extracurricular activity at the university.

 

It is worth noting that the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society (Dawaee Society) has concluded partnerships with the Ministry of Health and Zahra Society, and it is one of the accredited associations of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for Continuing Professional Education.
