The Artificial Intelligence Center at the College of Computer and Information Sciences Launches the “AI Arabic Talk Series”

The College of Computer and Information Sciences, represented by the Artificial Intelligence Center at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, in collaboration with the “Arabic AI Center” at King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, has launched the “AI Arabic Talk Series” for university students, researchers, and enthusiasts. The AI Arabic Talk Series began on October 26, 2025, and will run through December 30, 2025.
This series aims to shed light on the latest applications of artificial intelligence in the Arabic language and natural language processing (NLP), empowering the community with skills in ethical and trustworthy AI. It combines scientific foundations with practical applications, opening horizons for innovation and linguistic product entrepreneurship, while highlighting ethical dimensions such as bias, reliability, and privacy. The series also presents practical models that integrate language and technology.
A number of specialists and academics are participating in the series to create dialogues about the digital linguistic future and discuss how intelligent technologies can enrich classical and modern Arabic language and support authentic Arabic content. The initiative also aims to build a professional network among experts and enthusiasts, stimulate student and research projects, and promote linguistic entrepreneurship, all in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the goals of digital transformation.
The series includes several topics, such as:
• “Large Language Models (LLMs) and the Future of Arabic Content”
• “Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence: Building Ethical and Responsible Systems for the Future”
• “From Blackboard to Chatbots: The Journey of Education from Traditional Classrooms to AI-Enhanced Learning”
• “Intelligence and Play in the Language of Dhad”
Dr. Shorouq Alsenan, the Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, explained that “this series seeks to empower female students, researchers, and content creators to develop innovative linguistic solutions that support digital transformation and expand societal impact.”
She added, “At the Artificial Intelligence Center, we strive to strengthen national capabilities in Arabic language technologies, bridge the gap between research and application, and promote the principles of ethical and trustworthy AI.”
The “AI Arabic Talk Series” comes as part of the efforts of the Artificial Intelligence Center at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, aligning with the strategic plan of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University 2025. It aims to build a knowledge-based community for Arabic AI, support research and innovation ecosystems, and prepare competitive national talents in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation.
