Students from the College of Science at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University visited the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve, in conjunction with the World Migratory Bird Day, to promote environmental awareness.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the importance of conserving migratory birds and their role in maintaining ecological balance, as well as to highlight the efforts made to protect biodiversity and preserve wildlife, while emphasizing environmental sustainability in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
The program included an introductory tour of the reserve to learn about the species of migratory birds and their natural habitats, along with educational insights provided by specialists at the reserve about migration routes, the main environmental challenges faced by these birds, and the importance of environmental protection and biodiversity conservation in Saudi Arabia.
This visit comes as part of the College of Science’s efforts to contribute to the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025, by enhancing environmental awareness among students, linking academic knowledge with practical application, and supporting scientific and community activities.
