The College of Law at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has launched the "Legal Clinic" in collaboration with the law office of Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Fryan. This pioneering initiative aims to provide specialized training for female students enrolled in the college, serving the community and contributing to sustainable development by preparing distinguished legal professionals. The clinic creates an inspiring training environment for students to enhance their practical skills and participate in "legal aid" for beneficiaries by offering legal consultations.
The clinic provides its services to university staff and all members of Saudi society who require legal assistance, for a nominal fee. The services offered include: drafting petitions and lawsuit papers, providing all types of legal consultations, contract drafting, studying, analyzing, and commenting on judgments.
The goal of the clinic is to refine the practical skills of College of Law students by simulating a real work environment, enabling them to master essential legal and judicial skills. This contributes to improving the quality of educational outcomes at the college and prepares students to compete in the job market. Additionally, the clinic provides legal advisory services to university staff and aims to raise legal awareness and enhance judicial culture within the Princess Nourah University community.
In this regard, Dr. Maha bint Abdulaziz Al-Mutlaq, Dean of the College of Law, stated that the operation of the legal clinic began in the second semester in cooperation with the law firm. The launch of the clinic is in line with the College of Law's vision at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to offer distinguished legal education for female students that bridges the gap between theoretical and practical aspects, while adhering to governance standards, mechanisms, and academic accreditation. The clinic is considered one of the key factors in ensuring the quality of the academic process, which the college prioritizes.
It is worth mentioning that the establishment of the legal clinic contributes to Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University's efforts to build and strengthen the legal skills of graduates, preparing them to compete in the rapidly evolving job market. It also supports increasing women's participation in the workforce in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, as part of the National Transformation Program.
Those interested in benefiting from the clinic's services can visit the Legal Clinic's page on the university’s website [click here]. The clinic’s working hours are from 8 AM to 2 PM.
