Nature and Goals of the Program

It is a modern academic program in the field of visual arts that provides educational experiences in drawing, photography, sculpture, assemblage, printmaking, video, film, performance, historical and theoretical studies. The major refines artistic, technical and research skills. The program includes three tracks which are: painting, printmaking and sculpture.

1. Preserving the national identity through the practice of visual arts in the cultural and heritage sectors.
2. Participating in art forums and exhibiting their works in museums and galleries at the local and international level.
3. Applying research practices and creative critical thinking in the field of visual arts.
4. Working in various fields of visual arts in the community with high professionalism as independent artists.

1. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of visual arts in concepts, techniques, art history, and cultural and social context across eras.
2. Exhibit an advanced level of technical competence in the chosen field of the student, such as (painting, printmaking, sculpture).
3. Use critical thinking skills through the analysis and evaluation of artworks.
4. Develop creative solutions for traditional and non-traditional problems in the arts.
5. Work with professional responsibility through ethical commitment, effective time management, and self-learning.
6. Communicate effectively through oral presentations and writing to build professional relationships.

1. In-depth knowledge of art history across eras according to the cultural, social, and global context.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of concepts and techniques in the field of visual arts according to the specific specialization in the different program tracks.
3. Ability to use a variety of technical tools and computer programs to design and execute artworks.
4. Capacity to use independent critical thinking skills and informed judgment through the analysis and evaluation of artworks.
5. Ability to be creative and solve problems in art projects, and demonstrate a unique artistic vision and personality.
6. Capable of working with professional responsibility through ethical commitment and responsibility.
7. Ability to communicate effectively using technological means, build professional relationships, and present, discuss, and analyze ideas in written and oral forms.
8. Capacity for independent work and learning through practicing self-learning of visual arts after graduation.
9. Competence in investing specialty skills in the field of freelance work and teamwork to serve the community.
