Researcher’s Responsibilities:
1. The researcher shall abide by the standards, guidelines and rules of publication set by the Biodiversity Research Journal and shall abide by the principles and standards of research ethics and scientific publishing.
2. The researcher is obligated to follow the requirements of scientific integrity and copy rights and abide by the plagiarisms pledge.
3. In the case of joint publication, the researcher is obligated to obtain the consent of all researchers, and to indicate the efforts of everyone who participated in the research.
4. The researcher must not submit research that has been published in whole or in part in any form or any language at any journal. The researcher is also obligated not to submit the research to any other party while it is being considered by the journal, and if it is accepted for publication, the researcher is obligated not to publish it again without obtaining written consent from the journal.
5. The researcher is obligated to disclose any conflict of interest that may arise from the research, and must disclose the source of all financial support for the research.
6. If the researcher discovers a fundamental error in their published work, they must inform the editor-in-chief to deleting/ correcting the error or retract the paper.
7. The published research in the journal expresses the opinions of the researchers and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the editorial board or the policy of Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University or the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The researcher is considered fully responsible for the content of the research.
8. Publication fees (1,000 Saudi riyals) (270 US dollars) for each research published must be paid within a week, and the amount is deposited through the account of the Biodiversity Research Journal after obtaining the final publication approval.
 
Reviewers Responsibilities:
1. The reviewer must respond their acceptance of the initial peer-review request within three days from the date of request arrival. Upon approval, the review must be completed within two weeks.
2. The reviewer is committed to review the research with scientific integrity without prejudice or bias.
If the research topic is outside the scope of the reviewer’s specialization, they can reject and inform the journal of their rejection.
3. The reviewer must treat papers received for peer review as confidential documents, and shall not disclose or discuss them with others except as authorized by the Editor-in-Chief.
4. The reviewer may not exploit the reviewed research in any way to achieve personal benefit or benefit of others.
5. The reviewer is obligated to make detailed remarks on the research in accordance with the approved peer review model and must direct their remarks to the research and not to the researcher.
6. If plagiarism is detected in the reviewed research, the reviewer must refer to the paragraphs in which the plagiarism or plagiarism occurred, along with attached evidence.


The Editorial Board Responsibilities:
1. The editorial board is committed to verifying the quality of scientific research submitted for publication and referring it to reviewers with scientific experience and specialization in the research subject.
2. The editorial board is committed to apply geographical diversity when selecting reviewers for each submitted research, ensuring reviewers do not belong to the same scientific institute.
3. If the researcher requests to exclude a specific reviewer, the editorial board is obligated to implement the request when it is satisfied with the reasons and justifications provided. The editorial board must ask all reviewers to disclose any conflict of interest they may have before agreeing to accept the peer review.
4. The editorial board must exercise its powers honestly, objectively, and fairly, and not discriminate between researchers based on illegal considerations.
5. The editorial board is obligated to give researchers a reasonable time to respond to the referees' observations on their research.
6. The editorial board is committed to confidentiality and preservation of information related to the research and researchers during the review process.
7. The editor-in-chief is obligated to inform the author when the scientific research is published and the issue number.
