The College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University concluded a series of events and training activities in alignment with Global Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The initiative aimed to enhance digital and legal awareness among the university's students, faculty, and administrative staff at the college’s premises. The events included an awareness initiative titled “Your Digital Security is in Your Hands,” organized by the college in collaboration with the College of Law, represented by the University’s Legal Clinic. The goal was to highlight the importance of protecting digital information and following best practices in using technological tools. Several awareness activities and educational consultations were also provided by experts in cybersecurity and law. In a related context, the college held sessions with cybersecurity experts titled “Security Operations Engineer” and “Security Command Center Enterprise Google.” These sessions focused on corporate cloud security concepts, cybercrimes, and how to address them, with the events featuring a variety of interactive activities and competitions. Dr. Manal Al-Ohali, Dean of the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Princess Nourah University, explained that “these events are part of the college's vision to empower the academic community to face the growing digital challenges. Cybersecurity is one of the fundamental pillars in building students' skills within an educational environment that keeps pace with rapid technological developments.” These events are part of the College of Computer and Information Science’s efforts at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to foster digital and legal culture among its community members. They align with the university’s strategic goals for 2025, aiming for excellence in teaching and learning and contributing to the creation of a university community that is conscious of technology and digital security.
