“How do we talk?” Course

​On Wednesday, 29/6/1440 AH, Arabic Language Institute for Non-Arabic speakers affiliated to Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in cooperation with King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, held in World Ambassadors Hall located in Student Services Center A4, its third session entitled “How do we talk?", as part of World Ambassadors Program (Cultural Dialogue). As this program continues on weekly basis through organizing five training courses.

 

Ms. Moudi Al-Nahar, a certified instructor from the Dialogue Academy, organized by Ms. Salma Al-Enzi, a staff member of student activity at the Institute, Ms. Budoor Al-Balaihid, an officer of the Global Hall. As Ms. Moudi explained steps of effective cultural dialogue, the first of which is self-actualization. While the second step highlights goals and the third is identifying the details, which are: briefing on subject of dialogue, identifying culture of the other, getting to know the position of the other regarding subject of the dialogue. As well as defining an appointment which is the fourth step, while the fifth one is paying due care for appearance. The sixth is warning against fragility of beginnings, i.e. we do not start talking if we are not ready or should the other is not ready, or in case the time is not appropriate for dialogue, or if we are not aware of the subject in full, and the seventh step is using marketing skills while presenting your culture.

 

The respective names of the students have been registered, so certificates from King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue will be distributed upon completion of the program.
