Abdur Rauf

Abdur Rauf, Ph.D., works at the Department of Chemistry, University of Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He completed his Ph.D. at the Institute of Chemical Sciences, University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 2015. His research work focuses on Phytochemistry, Pharmacology, and nanotechnology. Abdur Rauf has the author and co-author of more than 342 research papers published in peer-reviewed journals (impact factor = 1433.91), with 8021 citations as per a Google scholar report. In addition, he has an H-index of 43 and an i10 index of 177 (Google scholar). He has also written one book as Editor and 25 book chapters for international Book publishers. He has also organized (Chief-Organizer) the 1st International Conference on Drug Discovery against Cancer and other Diseases (DDCD) in 2019 and also act as an organizer in the International Pharmacy Conference & Exhibition on Emerging Trends in Drug Development, Therapeutics, and commercialization (2019). Furthermore, he has the Associate Editor/Editorial Board member of several journals including Frontier in Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Green Processing and Synthesis, Open Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry, among others.  Abdur Rauf has won the Young Scientist Award from the Directorate of Science and Technology in the year 2018 and the Research Productivity award for the year 2016-17, from the Pakistan Science Foundation. He has also won 09 national and 04 international projects. Finally, some of the major goals of Abdur Rauf's research include the discovery of eco-friendly and cost-effective protocols for the production of nanoparticle-based new drugs with bio-medicinal interest. His research interests also include the exploration of the local natural resources (i.e. Pakistani flora) for efficient treatment of different health disorders, which in turn would have a significant impact on the national economy.

  • Pharmacological studies of natural products for the discovery of lead drugs.
