Overview:​

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, through the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries, is dedicated to fostering scientific research across both theoretical and applied fields. The university provides financial support and a conducive research environment for faculty members, researchers, and students, enabling them to pursue research in their areas of interest and expertise.

The Specialized Research Groups Funding Program is one of the university's primary initiatives, open to all its affiliates across various disciplines. Researchers apply for funding through the university's research centers, via the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries.

The program's primary objective is to encourage the formation of research groups and provide the necessary support to produce high-quality research that aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. Furthermore, the university aims to strengthen the research capabilities of its faculty in diverse scientific fields, with the goal of establishing specialized entities across the university. The program also promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between various fields of study.​
