Prof. Amel Fayed is a professor specializing in Public Health and Biostatistics at the College of Medicine, PNU, has a notable academic background. She earned her MD in 1996, followed by an MPH in 2005 and a PhD in 2009, both in Public Health and Biostatistics. Currently, her research is dedicated to the health of women and children in Saudi Arabia. She worked as one of the primary investigators in one of the largest cohort studies in Saudi Arabia ,“RAHMA” , that studied pregnancy outcomes among more than 15,000 women and their children. Prof. Fayed has an extensive publication record, with over 70 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and her work has been cited more than 2400 times by fellow researchers. Serving as the Co-Chair of the Medical Research and Biostatistics Course at the College of Medicine, PNU, she also holds positions as a council member at the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries. Additionally, Prof. Fayed is the Co-chair of the Institutional Review Board at PNU and actively contributes as a member of the Gestational Weight Gain advisory committee in WHO.
