​Program Mission:

Academic and research excellence through keeping pace with developments that meet the needs of the labor market for female cadres, and utilizing knowledge in the field of information systems in an interactive educational environment that provides curricula and scientific research that support the community and adhere to local and global quality standards.

 

Program Objectives : 

1. Preparing specialized female cadres in the field of information systems capable of meeting the needs of the labor market.

2. Building future skills and enhancing competitiveness and innovation in the field of information systems.

3. Activate an interactive educational environment that supports quality of life.

4. Achieving local and global quality standards and academic accreditation.

5. Enhancing academic activities and supporting research collaboration for basic and applied research in the field of information systems to contribute effectively to society.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) 

Knowledge:

K1: Explain theories, principles, processes, techniques, tools frameworks, standards, and models of the information system discipline.

K2: Identify appropriate research and investigation methods and techniques related to current and emerging topics within the IS disciplines.

Skills:

S1: Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program's discipline.

S2: Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.

S3: Support the delivery, use, and management of information systems within an information systems environment.

S4: Analyze a complex computing problem and apply research methodologies, principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.

Values

V1: Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in computing practice based on legal and ethical principles.

V2: Function effectively as a self-reliant, member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the IS discipline and society.

  

Program Graduate Attribute (PGA): 

The graduates of the IS program will have the following attributes:

1.     IS Discipline:  Graduates should have in depth expertise, knowledge and skills associated with the IS discipline to effectively support their professional activities

2.     IS Environment: Graduates should have required expertise, knowledge and skills of related disciplines like mathematics and business to efficiently develop IS based solutions

3.     Creativity: Graduates should be able to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills in their professional practice.

4.     Modern Technology: Graduates should be able to apply computing, digital literacy and information technology skills to function efficiently in their profession.

5.     Leadership: Graduates should be able to demonstrate leadership and communication skills in a variety of professional contexts.

6.     Responsibility: Graduates should be motivated towards lifelong learning, commitment to professional ethics, adherence to personal values and contribution to society.

7.     Teamwork: Graduates should be able to demonstrate effective teamwork and collaboration via their ability to lead and support others in their environment.
