Replacement of University ID card (Lost/ Damaged)

Student ID card

 

It is the identity of the student registered at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, and the means of introducing her. Issuing the Student ID Card is mandatory for all students enrolled in the university, as well as studies by visiting system. The Student ID Card includes the following data:

  1. - Student name.
  2. - Photo of the student.
  3. - University ID number.
  4. - Blood Group.

 

University ID Number

It is the student ID number, and distinguishes each student from the other, and all university procedures for the student rely on it, as it is considered a substitute for the student's name.

The student ID number at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University consists of 9 digits, the first three numbers (from left) indicate the academic year (Hijri) in which the student is admitted to the university, the fourth number indicates the semester in which the ID number is issued; where (1) indicates the first semester, and (2) denotes the second semester. The last five digits indicate the serial number of the student in that year, for example, 4341xxxxx indicates that the student began studying in 1434 AH, the first semester.

The Student ID Card is also the username for the student in the academic system, University e-mail and Blackboard Learning Management System.

 

Importance of the Student ID Card

A Student ID Card is issued to each student admitted to the university to use it in the following cases:

  • - Proof of identity in the university campus.
  • - Borrowing books from the library.
  • - Entering the examination room.
  • - Obtaining the accredited academic record and identification.
  • - Entering the conference hall and the sports club.

The official email is the student's digital ID, through which the student can be identified when contacting bodies within the university.

 

Student ID Card's Controls and Provisions

  1. 1. The student at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University obtains the first issue of the Student ID Card free of charge.
  2. 2. The card shall be issued at the University Identity Card Center (IDCC) at Station 4 (A4) (Ground Floor).
  3. 3. The student shall maintain her Student ID Card from damage and/or loss.
  4. 4. The Student ID Card shall be presented when entering the campus, attending lectures, and in all the student's dealings inside the university, and making sure to show it in all places at the university.
  5. 5. Failure to show the Student ID Card in the different university facilities exposes the student to penalty and withholding the provision of some services, in addition, it may prevent her from entering the university.
  6. 6. Any university staff shall be entitled to view the student ID card, and she must show it to verify her identity.
  7. 7. The student shall be responsible for using it by others, to facilitate their entry to the campus in an illegal manner.
  8. 8. The student ID card  shall be delivered to the Deanship of Admission and Registration in the following cases:
    •      - Graduation.
    •      - File withdrawal.
    •      - Full disciplinary dismissal.
    •      - The expiry of the study period under the visiting system.
  9. 9. All student ID card controls and provisions apply to all students affiliated to the university.

 

Student ID card Issuance Procedures

 

A)  The first issue of ID card for new student

  1. 1. The Deanship of Admission and Registration announces on the university's official website a timetable for the dates of issuance of the student ID card for new students.
  2. 2. The issuance of the student ID card is only processed with the presence of the original national ID (for Saudi) and the original residence permit (for non-Saudi) to verify the identity of the student.
  3. 3. The student shall bring a medical report that proves the blood group.
  4. 4. The new student who will register for the university accommodation must check with the university identity center and fill out a special form (for students wishing to register for the university housing) before issuing the student ID card. After 5. completing the housing procedures, a student ID card will be issued to her.
  5. 6. All procedures for obtaining the student ID card that adopted at the university shall apply to the student transferred from outside the university, as well as the student who is admitted to study under the visiting system.

 

B)  Issuance of (replacement of lost) student ID card

First: The regular student: In case of losing student ID card, the student is granted another alternative card according to the following procedures:

         1. The student reports her card loss at the Student Affairs Office in her college, by filling out a student ID card application form (1). This form is an Identity verification method inside the campus for the student, valid for two weeks.

         2. The student shall apply to the lost property office in the Student Services Building (A4), Ground Floor, Office No. (0.412) to report the loss of the card.

         3. The student college shall announce the loss of the Student ID card for a minimum of two weeks.

         4. The student shall follow up with the lost property office to check if the card is found.

         5. If the card is not found within two weeks, the student shall apply to the lost property office, so that the officer in charge shall stamp the application form.

        6. The student shall apply to obtain a replacement of lost student ID card from the University Identity Card Center: Ground Floor, A4, with the original national ID and pay the prescribed fees.

        7. If the student is late in obtaining a replacement of lost student ID card two weeks after the announcement, a delay fee shall be paid for each week.

        8. To follow up the student's commitment to the period specified for obtaining (replacement of lost), the colleges provide the Deanship of Admission and Registration with a list that includes the names of students who applied to obtain an ID card (replacement of lost) on Thursday of each week to follow the application via the e-mail: dar-photography@pnu.edu.sa

       9. The student shall pay fees for (replacement of lost) ID card as follows:

  •                SAR 100 (for the first time).
  •                SAR 150 (for the second time).
  •                SAR 200 (for the third time).

       10. When the card is lost for the fourth time, the student will be referred to investigation, and the rules approved by the University Administration and the Deanship of Admission and Registration shall apply to her.

       11. If the original ID card is found after obtaining a replacement of lost, she shall return the card to the University Identity Card Center and shall be entitled to refund 50% of the paid fees.

 

Second, the graduate student (or file withdrawal): If the graduate loses her ID card, her documents shall be delivered to her under the following procedures:

  1. - A fine for a replacement of lost shall be paid (100) riyals, in the Accounting Office at the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
  2. - The student shall sign a written declaration to deliver the card if she finds it, Form (2), and shall be entitled to a full refund of the paid fees provided that the payment receipt is presented.

 

C)  Issuance of (replacement of damaged) student ID card

  1. 1. The student shall fill out Form (1) request an ID card at the Student Affairs Office in her college.
  2. 2. The student shall apply to the Identity Card Center with the application form (Station 4) provided that the damaged card shall be brought in, and the original national ID.
  3. 3. A replacement of damaged ID card shall be issued after paying the prescribed fees, an amount of (50) riyals.

 

D) Issuance of an ID card in the event of modification

  1. 1. The student shall apply to the competent office for modifying the information in the Deanship of Admission and Registration, while bringing the documents required for the amendment and the original national ID.
  2. 2. ​After modifying the student's information, which entails changing the student ID card, the student shall apply to the Vice-Rector of Admission and Registration for Technical Affairs to request the issuance of a new ID card.

 

The student shall maintain the student ID card from damage or loss, and report the concerned body if it is lost in order to prevent misuse.
