The main objective behind preparing a strategic plan document for Libraries system in Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) was to include the central library and the branch libraries as a key component of consultative work components, which include PNU library services and equipment project so to contain in its content the PNU vision and mission.
This document for preparing the PNU Library System strategic plan has gone through a number of stages:
1.First stage: collecting data and information necessary to determine the current status of the PNU library system and major factors.
2.Second stage: comparing, extrapolating, and evaluating results of what has been collected and analyzed from data and information with the aim of discovering the current situation of the PNU libraries system and the place to be in the future and the nature of the gap between the current situation and what is to be reached.
3.Third stage: developing special recommendations for the PNU libraries system in terms of vision, mission, values and strategic goals in the form of an integrated document, as well as reviewing
and approving it.
