Publication rules and regulations

Research Terms:

1. The research submitted for publication should be within the framework of what the journal is interested in publishing (libraries, information technology and documents) and an authentic add to human knowledge, while adhering to the sound scientific research methodology known internationally, with impartiality and objectivity in the presentation.

2. The journal publishes research (written in Arabic or English) that has not previously been published and has not been sent to any other journal.

3. The number of research pages shall not exceed (40) pages (A4), including the Arabic and English abstracts, and references. They shall be typed and corrected linguistically.

4. The research data is written in both Arabic and English and that includes (the title of the research, the name of the researcher, the general and exact specialization, and contact information).

5. The number of words of the abstract does not exceed (250) words, and it includes (the subject of the research, its objectives, its methodology, the most important results, the most important recommendations) edited thoroughly.

6.  Each extract (Arabic/English) is followed by (keywords) that accurately express the subject of the research and the main issues addressed, provided that they do not exceed (6) words.

7.  Page margins shall be (3 cm) from (top, bottom, right, and left), the line spacing is single.

8. The (Traditional Arabic) font for the Arabic language is used in size (16) white for the text and black for titles, size (13) white for footnote and abstract, size (10) white for tables and figures, and black for the header of tables and commentary.

9. The font (Times New Roman) is used for the English language in size (11) white for the text and black for titles, size (9) white for footnote and abstract, size (8) white for tables and figures, and black for the header of tables and commentary.

 

Research Elements:

The researcher organizes his/her research according to the requirements of the (scientific research method) as follows:

1.An introduction that includes (the subject of the research, its problem, its limits, its objectives, its methodology, its procedures, and the research plan).

2.Previous studies - if any - and the researcher's scientific additions.

3.Coherently dividing the research into sections according to the (research plan).

4.Presenting a specific idea in each section that forms part of the central idea of the research.

5.The research is written in an elaborate scientific formulation, free from linguistic and grammatical errors, with accuracy in documentation.

6.A Conclusion which includes the most important (findings), and (recommendations).

 

Research Documentation:​

1. Documenting the footnote shall be mentioning (the title of the book, the name of the author, and the part/page) according to the applicable scientific method of the documentation. The researcher documents the references at the end of the research according to the following:

 

-  If the reference is (a book): (the title of the book. The last name of the author, the first name and other names. The name of the investigator - if any. The statement of the edition, the city of publication: the name of the publisher, the year of publication). Example: The Correct Collector. Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Issa Muhammad. Investigation: Ahmed Muhammad Shaker, and others. 2nd ed., Beirut: Heritage Revival House, 2004 AD.

 

- If the reference is (a scientific thesis that has not been printed): (the thesis title. The researcher's last name, then the first name and other names. The type of thesis (Master's/PhD), then the place: the name of the college, then the name of the university, and the year). Example: Yaqoub bin Siba Al-Sadosi, his Effects and his Approach to Jarh and Tadeel. Al-Mutairi, Ali bin Abdullah. Master's Thesis, Saudi Arabia, College of Education, King Saud University, 1418 AH.

 

- If the reference is (an article from a journal): (the article title. The author's last name, the first name and other names. The journal's name, place, volume number, (issue number), year of publication, page from p. to p.). Example: Imam Affan bin Muslim Al-Saffar and his Approach to Receiving, Performing and Criticizing. Al-Mutairi, Ali bin Abdullah. Qassim University Journal, Vol. (3), (1), 1431 AH, pp. (35-85).

 

2.  Adding some abbreviations if there is no indication for them in the reference data, and they are as follows:

 

- Without a place of publication – NP

- Without the name of the publisher - NP

- Without the edition number - NE

- No Publication Date – ND

 3. The documentation system adopted in the journal for foreign references is the (University of Chicago) system.
