Publication Guidelines

The Biodiversity Research Journal welcomes original, specialized research and scholarly studies relevant to the various fields of biological sciences. The journal accepts original research articles and scientific papers, subject to the following rules and requirements:


General Guidelines

  • The journal publishes original academic research that adheres to established standards of research integrity and ethics. Manuscripts may be submitted in either Arabic or English and must not have been previously published. Once accepted for publication, a manuscript may not be published elsewhere without the written permission of the Editor-in-Chief.
  • The journal encourages the submission of original research to support its continued development and success.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted in their final, revised form by email.
  • All correspondence should be addressed to the Editor-in-Chief.


Manuscript Requirements

Manuscripts submitted for publication must meet the following requirements:

  • The manuscript must be original and academically sound.
  • The research must comply with standards of research integrity and ethics.
  • The manuscript must be linguistically accurate and adhere to appropriate punctuation conventions.
  • The manuscript must not have been previously published.
  • Submitted manuscripts will not be returned to authors, regardless of whether they are accepted for publication.
  • A manuscript, including references, footnotes, tables, and both Arabic and English abstracts, must not exceed 30 A4 pages.
  • Upon acceptance, the journal reserves the right to publish the manuscript on its website and through other print or electronic publishing platforms affiliated with the University.
  • All correspondence must be conducted by email. Submission of a manuscript constitutes the author's acceptance of the journal's publication guidelines. The Editorial Board reserves the right to determine the publication priorities of submitted manuscripts.
  • Each issue of the journal shall include the following disclaimer: “The views expressed in this issue are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editorial Board, the policies of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, or the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

 

Manuscript Formatting Guidelines

  • Page margins should be 3 cm on all sides, with single line spacing.
  • Arabic manuscripts: Use Traditional Arabic, 16-point font for the main text, 18-point bold for main headings, 13-point font for footnotes and abstracts, and 10-point font for tables and figures. Table headings and captions should be in bold.
  • English manuscripts: Use Times New Roman, 11-point font for the main text, bold for headings, 9-point font for footnotes and abstracts, and 8-point font for tables and figures. Table headings and captions should be in bold.
