Overview:

In line with the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, particularly in advancing Sustainable Development, the university seeks to contribute actively to scientific research, fostering progress and the growth of the knowledge economy. The Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries, recognizing the critical role of research as a cornerstone for development, has launched the "Future Leaders" initiative. This initiative is designed to empower undergraduate and graduate female students by developing their research skills and providing financial rewards for their published scientific papers. The program aligns with the university's vision to support student excellence and prepare them for future leadership roles.

The initiative aims to:

  • Enhance research activity at the university.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of scientific research among undergraduate and graduate female students.
  • Prepare a generation of creative female researchers.
  • Foster a sense of teamwork among female students.

 

The financial support for this initiative consists of a one-time reward of 25,000 SAR per published scientific paper, with a maximum of three papers eligible for funding during each cycle. Funding is granted upon the indexing of the paper in globally recognized journals within the Web of Science database, specifically those included in the following citation indexes:

  • Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)
  • Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI)

    The paper must be listed in these core collections to be eligible for the funding.
