Scientific Publication Funding Program for High-Impact Journals 2025
Introduction:
The Scientific Publication Funding Program for High-Impact Journals is an initiative by Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, spearheaded by the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries, to recognize and build upon the exceptional research capabilities of its faculty members, researchers, and students. The program offers financial support to promote the advancement of scientific research across both theoretical and applied fields, while also creating a conducive research environment. It is designed to empower researchers by providing the necessary resources—both material and technical—to pursue studies in their areas of interest and expertise.
The program's objectives are as follows:
- Encourage researchers to align their work with the university's research strategy and vision, simplifying the research funding process and enhancing its impact.
- Promote scientific publishing in well-regarded, indexed journals. The goal is to produce research papers published in global journals listed in the Web of Science (WOS) core collection, with impact factors as reported by the Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics), across a wide range of scientific, engineering, medical, social, and humanities fields. These journals should be ranked in the top 10% of their field, with an average Impact Factor (JIF) between 90-100%, and align with the strategic objectives of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The university is committed to strengthening the research capabilities of its researchers across all disciplines.
- Enhance the university's global ranking by fostering high-quality, impactful research.
