​The Healthcare Simulation Technology department aims to establish an infrastructure that assures both efficient and effective technical support for simulation-based events. The department will provide a compilation of services that revolves around the domains created by the Gathering Of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists (SimGHOSTS) and Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) since both entities have sought to review the job duties and scope for healthcare simulation technology departments to ensure best practices.

The Healthcare Simulation Technology Department has two sections:

 1- Healthcare Simulation Operation section which will be working hand-to-hand with SSDC internal departments, sections, and units to perform the following:

-                 Collaborate in designing simulation-based events.

-                 Ensure best practices to operate technologies and simulators required for simulation-based events.

-                 Provide technical and instructional support for day-to-day simulation-based events.

-                 Comprehensive management and maintenance of simulation technologies, starting from the procurements phase.

-                 Support simulation-based research and scholarly projects.

2- Creative simulation and medical moulage section, which aims to lead the transformation of medical moulage services and raise the reality of the simulation-based events. The section provides innovative products that meet the need for medical simulation, contribute to providing services for the center's customers, and create opportunities for cooperation using creative solutions for training purposes.​​
