- I am an Associate Professor in Rehabilitation,occupational therapy with over 20 years of experience spanning academic teaching, clinical practice, research,, innovation and educational leadership. My career has been driven by a strong commitment to excellence in higher education, evidence-based clinical practice, and the advancement of professional standards within health and rehabilitation sciences. Throughout my academic journey, I have taught across undergraduate and postgraduate courses, consistently integrating theory with practice to enhance student learning, clinical reasoning, and professional readiness. My teaching philosophy is learner-centred, inclusive, and reflective, with a strong emphasis on constructive alignment, authentic assessment, and the development of lifelong learning skills. I actively embed contemporary pedagogical approaches, digital innovation, and curriculum enhancement to ensure relevance to evolving healthcare and educational contexts. Alongside my academic role, I'm registered as rehabilitation consultant in SHCHS .I maintain substantial clinical experience, which informs my teaching, research, and mentorship. This dual academic–clinical identity allows me to bridge the gap between theory and practice and to contribute meaningfully to workforce development and service improvement. As a researcher, I have contributed to peer-reviewed publications and scholarly activities focused on rehabilitation, education, and applied clinical practice. I am particularly interested in research, innovation, and improving outcomes through interdisciplinary and evidence-based approaches. My work reflects a commitment to research integrity, impact, and knowledge dissemination. I am an innovator who wined many international prizes for innovation and innovative intiatives I have contributed to PNU OT program initiation and development, quality assurance, accreditation and educational enhancement initiatives. I actively mentor many academics and teaching staff , including through my role as an AEP mentor, supporting professional growth, reflective practice, and alignment with professional standards. In addition, I serve as a reviewer for academic journals and professional submissions, contributing to the advancement of scholarly quality and academic rigor. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), which recognises my sustained impact on teaching, learning, leadership, and mentoring in higher education. I'm a Fellowship Mentor and Reviewer in Academic Excellence Program , Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL) , Professional Development & Recognition Scheme - PNU Route to Fellowship, October 2021 - Now Overall, my professional identity is shaped by a strong sense of responsibility to students, colleagues, and the wider academic and clinical community. I am committed to continuous improvement, leadership through service, and making a meaningful contribution to education, research, and professional practice.
