Medication safety-focused studies have been recognized to be essential for investigating the safety profile of medications. Numerous studies have been conducted to measure the scale, nature and causes of medication safety problems. Since 2000, substantial number of studies have been conducted using different methodologies and design. This workshop will present the characteristics, strengths and limitations of medication safety related research and will highlight on global research priorities for medication safety.

Introductions:
Antimicrobial resistance is one of the most serious threats to our societies. Some organisms become resistance to different classes of antimicrobial. It is challenges know to treat infectious diseases and it is complications in some patients like for example immune-compromised patients. The most serious concern with antibiotic resistance is that some bacteria have become resistant to almost all of the easily available antibiotics. These bacteria are able to cause serious disease, and this is a major public health problem. Important examples are methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE), ESBL Producer and Carbapenem-resistant and others.
