The College of Law at Princess Norah bint Abdulrahman University, through its Research, Innovation, and Business Vice Deanship, organized the 5th Scientific Research Day. The event showcased over 20 research posters presented by undergraduate female students at the first semester of the academic year 1446 H. The posters were displayed in the college's lobby and theater.
It's worth noting that graduation projects are a significant part of the college curriculum, requiring students to develop their skills and deepen their knowledge in the field of law, ultimately enhancing their job prospects. This reflects the university's commitment to developing students' skills and preparing them for the job market.
These efforts align with the College of Law's objectives to produce legal research and studies that serve the goals and requirements of Saudi Vision 2030. The college ensures that student research projects address the needs of the job market. To achieve this, the college has established partnerships with the job market to suggest research topics and participate in the evaluation of research. Given the importance of commercial transactions and their connection to Zakat and tax in Saudi Arabia, and the Kingdom's efforts to build a thriving commercial future, the college directed its research during the first semester of 1446 H toward the commercial field in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, and in the tax field. The Research Vice Deanship formed a committee to evaluate research related to commercial matters, comprising members from the College of Law and the Ministry of Commerce, and another committee to evaluate research in the tax field, with the participation of tax specialists.
In the same context, the Research Agency organized a series of research workshops to develop students' research skills, guide them, and encourage research and studies in the legal field. These workshops created an environment that fosters creativity and promotes a competitive spirit. Recognizing the importance of legal research in both academic and practical aspects, and its impact on legal systems, the vice deanship seeks to enhance research excellence to elevate academic and research standards, serving both public and private research sectors and non-profit organizations.
The Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Abeer bint Abdulaziz Al-eesa, explained that the 5th Scientific Research Day serves as a platform to enhance students' research skills and encourage them to excel and innovate in the field of legal research, contributing to the university's strategic vision 2025. "We are working hard to qualify legal cadres capable of competing in the national economy and supporting the Kingdom's aspirations for a more prosperous future in all fields," she said. Dr. Al-eesa concluded by expressing her gratitude to all participants and supporting entities that contributed to the success of this distinguished event, affirming that the college will continue its journey in supporting scientific research to achieve sustainable development.
This day comes as a reinforcement to develop the research skills of the university's female students, and as a keenness to activate scientific research, encourage students to excel, and contribute to achieving the strategic plan of Princess Norah bint Abdulrahman University 2025, by preparing competitive cadres in the national economy.
