The Applied College at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University launched the “Career Future Forum 2024” on Thursday, November 21, 2024, with the participation of approximately 35 entities. The forum aimed to connect diploma students and graduates of the college with employers and was held at the University’s Conference and Seminar Center. The forum seeks to provide job and training opportunities for students and graduates, create a space for networking with companies and institutions from various sectors, and offer insight into labor market requirements, thereby contributing to building career paths and developing students’ professional skills. The forum includes a variety of activities and events, such as: a graduate projects exhibition; a career advisory corner offering CV review, interview coaching, and career guidance; an information booth introducing the Applied College’s programs; and another booth introducing the Student Support Center and student services. The forum also features the signing of Memorandums of Understanding with Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries and Esnad Riyadh. In addition, the forum offers a series of training workshops and guidance sessions on topics including: “Steps to Establish Entrepreneurial Projects,” “CV Writing Skills,” “Negotiation Skills in the Workplace,” “Career Interests and Their Impact on Career Pathways,” and “Career Paths in the Labor Market,” alongside group and one-on-one advisory sessions. The CEO of the Applied College, Dr. Rana bint Suliman Al-Aqeeli, stated that the forum is driven by an ambitious vision to empower the college’s students and graduates through inspiring meetings that bring them together with experts, pioneers, and leading companies in various fields. This contributes to enriching their experience, providing them with real-world insights into the challenges and successes of the labor market, and offering them training and employment opportunities. The “Career Future Forum 2024” comes as part of the Applied College’s role in contributing to the achievement of Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025, by enhancing the university’s competitiveness in education and employment, strengthening students’ skills, knowledge, and values, and equipping them with 21st-century competencies.
