Princess Nourah University Launches 14 Short University Programs under the “MicroX” Initiative

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, represented by the Applied College and the E-Learning Department, has announced the launch of 14 short university programs as part of the “MicroX” Short University Programs Initiative. The programs cover a range of specialized professional fields and aim to develop practical knowledge and skills and enhance learners’ readiness to meet labor market requirements through flexible educational programs focused on professional skills and competencies. The programs are offered across three main professional fields. The Accounting field includes the Government and Tax Accounting program, the Cost Analysis and Decision-Making program, the Management and Communication and Their Professional Applications program, and the Accounting, Financial and Statistical Analysis program. The Banking and Financial Markets Management field includes several programs, namely: Investment Strategies and Risk Management, Financial Analysis and Markets, Assessment and Analysis of the Monetary and Banking System, Financial and Administrative Foundations for Building Success, and Financial Accounting and Finance and Their Professional Applications. The Risk Management and Insurance field includes programs in Risk Management and Business Continuity, Professional Insurance Skills, and Principles of Insurance for Vehicles, Accidents, and Property. It also includes the Insurance Inclusivity: Health and Social Takaful program, in addition to Financial and Administrative Foundations for Building Success, which is a joint program between the Banking and Financial Markets Management and Risk Management and Insurance fields. The programs are delivered online through the “MicroX” platform and are open to a wide range of learners, including general education graduates, higher education graduates, university students, entrepreneurs, international learners, job seekers, and individuals currently in the labor market. The “MicroX” initiative is distinguished by its flexible learning pathways, enabling learners to progress from short university programs to high-quality academic qualifications, including the Associate Diploma in Accounting, as well as the Intermediate Diploma in Banking and Financial Markets Management and the Intermediate Diploma in Risk Management and Insurance, upon fulfilling the requirements for the relevant academic degree in accordance with the University’s approved regulations and policies. The Short University Programs Initiative seeks to keep pace with the rapid changes taking place across professional sectors by providing accessible learning opportunities for all. It enables individuals to acquire modern professional skills while supporting vital sectors and disciplines, contributing to the achievement of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
