Department Overview

Scientific societies play a vital role in advancing scientific knowledge, research, and professional practice. They provide platforms that bring together specialists within the same field to facilitate scholarly exchange, offer expert advice, and organize scientific meetings and activities that foster ideas and contribute to the advancement of knowledge within their respective areas of interest. In line with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s vision and mission of achieving global leadership in education and research, the University established its first scientific societies in 1429 AH. Since then, they have grown to include seven specialized scientific societies. The University has also strengthened its scholarly publishing ecosystem by establishing seven peer-reviewed scientific journals, which began publication in 1437 AH and are committed to achieving international recognition and inclusion in leading global journal indexes.
