Accomplishments:
• The society held its second Board of Directors meeting on August 23, 2023 (07/02/1445 AH) to approve the appointment of a new president and welcome new members to the board.
• The fifth General Assembly meeting took place on August 27, 2023 (11/02/1445 AH), during which the change in presidency and the addition of new board members were discussed and approved.
• A formal decision (No. 4547), dated September 14, 2023 (29/02/1445 AH), was issued to restructure the Board of Directors of the Saudi Scientific Society for Dental Education for its third term.
• The third Board of Directors meeting was held on September 18, 2023 (14/03/1445 AH).
• The fourth Board of Directors meeting was held on November 28, 2023 (14/05/1445 AH).
• The president of the society attended the first meeting of the Permanent Committee for Scientific Societies in its tenth session, held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 (21/06/1445 AH).
• On February 1, 2024 (20/07/1445 AH), the society held its sixth General Assembly meeting to review and update its vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
• Dr. Christine Amanda delivered an online lecture via Zoom titled "CAD/CAM Applications in Preclinical Curricula."
• Dr. Alaa Qari gave a lecture titled "Distance Medical Education."
• Dr. Afnan Al-Zain presented a lecture titled "Enhancing Professional Awareness Among Dental Students."
• The Saudi Scientific Society for Dental Education participated in the 35th Saudi International Dental Conference (SIDC 2024), held from January 18 to 20, 2024 (6–8 Rajab 1445 AH) at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. The society took part to introduce its mission and objectives to professionals and attendees.
• As part of SIDC 2024, the society also organized a panel discussion focused on psychological and academic counseling for dental students across Saudi Arabia.
• The society supervised a special issue of the Saudi Dental Journal dedicated to exploring contemporary challenges in dental education.
• The cooperation agreement between the Saudi Dental Society at King Saud University and the Saudi Scientific Society for Dental Education at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has been renewed through September 12, 2025.
• Dr. Amal Sendi delivered a lecture titled "An Overview of Specialized Academic Standards and Learning Outcomes in Dentistry."
