Brief Summary

The Local Committee of Scientific Research Ethics at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University has been registered with the National Committee of BioEthics (NCBE) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology with the No. (H-01-R-059), in line with the Council of Ministers' decision, which obliges the entities and research centers in the Kingdom to form a Local Committee of Research Ethics in each institution is subject to the supervision and monitoring of the National Committee of BioMedical Ethics, and the committee falls under the supervision of the Deanship of Scientific Research.

Regulations for the Application to Research Ethics Committee for PNU students and faculty members:

Please note that all research project proposals and papers require an approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at PNU and applications can be submitted electronically to: IRB@pnu.edu.sa. Please use the forms attached. The exempt form is used for research that does not involve human risk, such as questionnaires or interview research. The expedited form is used for research that has minimal risk, such as taking a blood sample. The full review form is used for research that involves human intervention using drugs or devices. All forms must be ink signed by the researcher and the immediate supervisor.

The researchers have to submit the research proposal/protocol with the questionnaire or data collection instrument. Other documents to be submitted are:
