Post- indexed publication Research Funding Program
Overview
The program offers financial support for research projects after indexed publication. Funding is provided as a single payment according to the project's approved budget. This occurs after the publication process is completed and the final report is approved by the Council of the Deanship of Scientific Research and Libraries. The approval includes reviewing the project's final financial report, as well as the submission of the published research according to the requirements for publishing in scientific journals that are internationally indexed in databases like the Web of Science (WOS) core collection. The journal should be also included within citation indicators such as the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) or the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI). Research published in journals lacking impact factor (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) or indexed in WOS emerging sources will not be considered.
Researchers initiate the funding application process by submitting a request to the Deanship of Scientific Research via the research center affiliated with their respective college.
Divided into two categories:
A. Small Projects:
- Projects with a completion period not exceeding 12 months.
- Maximum funding amount is 25,000 riyals.
- With scientific output of at least one scientific paper derived from the research project.
B. Medium Projects:
- Projects with a completion period not exceeding 12 months.
- Maximum funding amount is 50,000 riyals.
- With scientific output of at least two scientific papers derived from the research project.
