REDCap is an acronym for Research Electronic Data Capture, which is a secure software used to design and manage electronic questionnaires and databases. Although it can be used for many different works, it was specifically designed to support the data collection process for research studies and operations, with or without an internet connection.
What features does REDCap offer?
- Design questionnaires and create electronic databases so the user can control all the details of their design.
- Prepare reports and exporting data in formats (Microsoft Excel, SAS, Stata, R, and SPSS).
- Identify project team members (data entry, statistician, and others) and control their access in the project.
- Manage the contact list (e-mail) of the survey participants and find out who completes the survey.
- Create an open link to the survey to allow anyone to participate in it.
