The Research, Development, and Innovation Authority announces the launch of its 2025 research grant programs and the opening of applications. The program aims to enable researchers and innovators to contribute to scientific progress that addresses local and global challenges and supports the growth of the Kingdom's innovation-driven economy.

The research grants fall under four main programs:

The Saudi Basic Sciences Program.

The Saudi Applied and Technical Research Program.

The Saudi Emerging Researcher Program.

The Entrepreneurial Research Program.

These programs cover all phases of research, development, and innovation, within the national priorities of:

Human Health.

Sustainable Environment and Basic Needs.

Leadership in Energy and Industry.

Future Economies.

Preliminary Applications Open: December 24, 2024

Preliminary Applications Close: February 4, 2025

Final Applications Open: April 1, 2025

Final Applications Close: May 27, 2025

Results Announced: August 28, 2025
