The Sara Al-Sudairi Center for Women’s Studies at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University participated on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, in the activities of the “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign, with the aim of raising community awareness of issues related to violence against women and promoting a culture of protection and empowerment. The participation took place through an awareness and informational booth held at the King Salman Social Center. The booth included awareness brochures and materials distributed to visitors, in addition to informational leaflets introducing the Center’s services in supporting women’s issues. Female students from the Clinical Psychology program also took part by providing awareness materials to visitors, covering the definition of violence, its various forms, common psychological effects, methods of self-protection, and pathways to recovery. Legal consultants from the Department of Law contributed by providing information on women’s rights under Saudi regulations, available legal protection mechanisms, and official channels for reporting and obtaining legal support. In addition, a social counselor from the National Family Safety Program participated by offering guidance and awareness on the social impacts of violence, methods of prevention, and the importance of building a safe and supportive environment for women within the family and the wider community. This initiative is part of the Sara Al-Sudairi Center for Women’s Studies’ ongoing efforts to support national women’s issues, strengthen community partnerships, and promote awareness of women’s rights and protection, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Strategic Plan 2025 of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. It also contributes to enhancing women’s leadership in national development and enriching the educational experience.
