The Sara Al-Sudairy Center for Women’s Studies at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University participated on Monday, December 8, 2025, in an awareness event held in conjunction with World Human Rights Day. The event took place at the headquarters of Al-Nahda Women’s Society in Riyadh, with the attendance of a number of specialists and individuals interested in women’s issues and human rights. The Director of the Center, Dr. Nouf Al-Ruqeiba, delivered an extensive introductory presentation in which she outlined the Center’s background, mission, and objectives, in addition to reviewing its key functions and its role in supporting specialized studies related to women’s issues. She also presented the Center’s most prominent ongoing research projects and highlighted national research priorities related to women’s empowerment and the promotion of their rights, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The Center participated in the event through an informational booth dedicated to showcasing its publications and awareness materials, highlighting the Center’s programs, scholarly output, and areas of work. This provided visitors with the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the Center’s initiatives and research services. The booth also featured the participation of female lawyers who are graduates of the Department of Law, who provided visitors with legal awareness explanations regarding women’s legal rights, as well as the key regulations and laws that ensure their protection and enhance their role in society, adding a significant educational dimension to the Center’s participation. The event included interactive discussions focusing on the role of research institutions in raising community awareness of human rights—particularly women’s rights—and the importance of partnerships between development entities and research centers in supporting national efforts. The participation of the Sara Al-Sudairy Center for Women’s Studies in this event reflects its ongoing efforts to implement initiatives and programs that contribute to women’s empowerment and the enhancement of awareness of their rights, in cooperation with specialized women’s rights organizations. This participation also contributes to achieving the objectives of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University’s Strategic Plan 2025, by promoting women’s leadership in the national development journey and achieving excellence in the academic and research fields.
