Key Responsibilities •

Planning:

Preparing the Department's five-year and annual plans and monitoring their implementation following approval.
Developing the strategic and annual plans for research chairs.
Developing the consolidated estimated budget for research chairs.

Management:

Recommending regulations and guidelines governing the administrative and financial matters of research chairs for approval by the Research Chairs Council.
Appointing research chair professors.
Developing the executive regulations for research chairs.
Recommending the establishment of research chairs.

Coordination and Support:

Preparing annual reports on research chairs and submitting them to the University Council.
Developing the Research Chairs Guide.
Preparing administrative and financial forms and contracts for research chairs.
Coordinating the media launch of research chairs

Development:

Providing recommendations to enhance the performance and effectiveness of research chairs.
Organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs to strengthen the capabilities of the Department and research chair professors.
Fostering academic collaboration between the University's research chairs and other research chairs and centers
