The module introduces students to the nature and impact of the digital economics. The module identifies and formalize the main concepts, tools and features that are useful for students to understand and analyze the digital economy, overviews critical changes in the world economy due to its rapid digital transformation, and how the digital economy influences markets, the digital society and organizations. Internet, sharing economy, social networks, Big Data and mobile communications, change global businesses and how to create value for humans and enterprises in digital society.

This course introduces students to the modern finance, especially to the financial operations of a business and provides the foundation for more advanced finance courses. Upon completion, students will be able to value bonds and stocks, estimate asset returns according to their risk characteristics and identify capital projects that maximize shareholder's wealth using a wide range of analytical tools.
