The course will focus on the principles and basics of chemistry science; atomic structure, periodic table, chemical bonds, Mole concepts, balance of chemical equations, states of matter an introduction for all material states, states of matter, oxidation and reduction, energy production, chemical equilibrium, ionic equilibrium (acids and bases), and organic chemistry with special focus on its relevance to biological systems. Students will be taught using traditional lectures, online E-Learning modules and other methods of learning will be adopted
