This course is expected to introduce students to basic knowledge of English literature. It teaches the students how to read and analyze elements of literary texts of poetry, drama and novel. It, therefore, enables students to recognize the differences between these three literary genres. Further, the course introduces students to some important texts by major literary figures which will help found their literary background.
