• Institutional Funding :

      An initiative launched by the Research and Innovation Agency at the Ministry of Education to support strategic research plans in Saudi universities that align with the university's goals and priorities in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030.

       Objectives of the Institutional Funding Initiative :

      • ​Enhance the publication of research across various disciplines that improve lifestyle, community health, and well-being.
      • Train promising researchers and assistants in scientific research to elevate the quality of research at the university.
      • Contribute to the development of national research policies related to the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and the elderly.
      • Build a sustainable research environment and community partnerships.
      • Foster an innovative and vibrant research community aimed at benefiting the local and global community.
      • Support the marketing of research to create investment opportunities for researchers both locally and globally, with a focus on health research for women, children, and the community.

      • ​Published research in prestigious scientific journals.
      • Seminars, conferences, and discussion panels.
      • Training and recruitment of research assistants in scientific research skills.
      • A number of patents and intellectual property registrations.
      • Training for emerging university staff in research skills.

       Approved Projects in the First Cycle of Institutional Funding 2020 :

      • Fast Track Institutional Funding to Support the Research Identity of Princess Nourah bint Abdul Rahman University.
      • Increasing research capacity (directed research – COVID-19 research).
      • Supporting infrastructure and equipping laboratories.

       Application Mechanism :

      Applications for funding should be submitted electronically via the program's email at the Deanship of Scientific Research, completing all required information and attachments.

      All attachments must include :

      • ​Research proposal form.
      • Approval from the Research Ethics Committee.
      • Commitment declaration (not to have a scientific leave of absence, contract validity with the university for one year for non-Saudis).
      • Intellectual property rights declaration.

       Project Budget :

      • ​A budget of 25,000 SAR is allocated, disbursed in two installments, with the first installment being 50% of the approved project budget after the contract is signed.
      • The institutional funding pathways are subject to the unified research regulations in universities.
