Here is an explanation of everything related to transferring to the university.
External transfer:
It is an academic process undertaken by the student to transfer her studies from her current university to another university outside her region due to circumstances that the student has encountered.
General regulations for external transfer:
1. The application must be submitted during the specified period for submitting transfer requests, as announced in the academic calendar, through the Academic Services Portal.
2. The student must be Saudi or have a Saudi mother.
3. The student should not have a previous record at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University.
4. Providing an acceptable reason for the transfer request.
5. The transfer must be from a public university, foreign university, or institution licensed by the relevant authority in the country of study.
6. The student should not be on academically or disciplinary dismissed, and if it is discovered after the transfer that the student was previously expelled, her registration will be considered canceled from the date of acceptance of her transfer to the university.
7. The student's major at her current university should align with the major (program) she wishes to transfer to at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University.
8. Meeting the admission requirements and the required GPA for the major or the foundation year of the college to which the student wishes to transfer (according to the admission criteria for new students).
9. Fulfilling the requirements for the announced specializations on the Admission and Registration Deanship page.
10. The student must have spent at least one academic year at her current university.
11. The cumulative GPA of the student should not be less than (3.75 out of 5) or (2.75 out of 4).
12. The number of credit hours that the transferring student is required to study at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University should not be less than (60%) of the total credit hours required for obtaining a bachelor's degree from the university.
13. Submitting the application does not imply acceptance, and a response will be provided after it is reviewed by the relevant authorities.
Specialization Requirements:
1. Availability of seats in the specializations.
2. Passing physical fitness tests and medical examinations for transfer to Physical Education Sciences.
3. Passing the artistic abilities (talent) test for transfer to the College of Design and Arts.
4. Passing the personal interview or any tests specified by the health colleges.
5. Submitting a valid English language certificate with a score not less than:
- (5) in the IELTS Academic test or its equivalent (83) in the STEP test for transfer to the Languages College.
- (4.5) in the IELTS Academic test or its equivalent (75) in the STEP test for transfer to the Computer Science and Information College.
- (4.5) in the IELTS Academic test or its equivalent (75) in the STEP test for transfer to the Business and Administration College.
- (4.5) in the IELTS Academic test or its equivalent (75) in the STEP test for transfer to the Health and Nursing Colleges.
6. Achieving the required GPA/standard determined by the specialization after the foundation year - for colleges with a foundation year - in the desired major.
7. The student must have spent an academic year in the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry after completing the preparatory year courses or general courses and obtained grades in specialization courses for both colleges not less than (24) credit hours at her current university.

Required Documents for Transfer Application:
1. Completed transfer application form with the full required information "Transfer Application Form to Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University".
2. Official and stamped academic record up to the last registered semester for the student.
3. Copy of the university ID card (from her current university).
4. Copy of the national ID card (valid).
5. Copy of the high school certificate.
6. Results of general aptitude and academic achievement tests.
7. Proof of reason for transfer.
8. Stamped electronic copy of course descriptions of the courses passed by the student in the application semester.
9. Study plan followed by the student at her current university.

Procedures After Acceptance of Transfer:
1. The student receives an email requesting her to review and approve the credit equivalency within 3 business days.
2. The student shall submit the following documents:
a. A recent certified copy of her academic transcript containing the results of the semester she applied for transfer.
b. A statement of the latest financial bonus she received at her previous university.
c. Deregistration letter from her previous university.
3. The student obtains a university ID card at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University.
4. The student consults her academic advisor (at the college) to register for suitable courses.
5. The student visits the financial bonus administration to obtain a bank ATM card.
Guidelines for Transfer Students from External Universities:
1. The student must submit the required documents within the specified timeframe.
2. Transfer students are not allowed to request internal transfers from one college to another.
3. Transfer students are not permitted to withdrawal or postpone in the first semester after the admission.
4. The student is entitled to obtain a copy of the credit equivalency document after it is approved.
5. Transfer students are not allowed to request credit equivalency for additional courses after the completion of a semester.
6. Financial bonuses will be disbursed starting from the semester in which the student enrolls at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, considering the financial rewards received at the student's previous university.
Course Equivalency After Acceptance of Transfer:
- Courses studied by the student outside of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University will be equated based on the recommendation of the departments offering these courses.
- Course equivalence is granted if the grade received is not less than a C+ (Good), provided that:
- Content matching is at least 75%.
- The number of credit hours matches.
- Equivalency of courses successfully equated will be recorded in the student's academic record.
- The student's academic record will reflect a notation indicating the course equivalency from outside the university.
- The calculation of the transferred student's GPA begins from the first semester studied at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University.
- Failures from the student's previous university are taken into account when calculating honors.
