Admission Requirements for External Scholarships:
 
Admission requirements and academic regulations applicable to Saudi students at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and higher education institutions in the Kingdom are applied to external scholarship students as well, including the following:
Applicants must be between 17 and 25 years old for the university’s bachelor’s programs as well as diploma programs at the Arabic Language Teaching Institute for Non-Arabic Speakers.
high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Applicants must not have obtained a scholarship previously from a Saudi educational institution.
Applicants must not have a prior record at the university.
Applicants must have graduated from high school within the past five years.
Applicants must be medically fit.
Applicants must not have been dismissed from any educational institution in Saudi Arabia.
Applicants must meet the specified admission criteria or any additional requirements determined by the University Council.
Governmental consent is mandatory for applicants from countries requiring governmental consent to study in Saudi Arabia. 
The high school diploma must be authenticated by the Saudi Cultural Mission in the issuing country.
Applicants are required to issue a certificate of non-criminal records from their country's security services.


Required documents:


1. High school diploma or its equivalent with a transcript of grades certified by the Kingdom’s Cultural Mission in the country of issuance, with a translation into Arabic.
2. Certificate of good conduct, or two recommendations from reputable authorities in the applicant’s country if a conduct certificate is unavailable.
3. Valid passport.
4. Governmental consent letter from the applicant’s country to study in Saudi Arabia.
5. A recently issued non-criminal records certificate, from the local security center.
6. Medical report confirming that the applicant is medically fit, issued within three months prior to application.

Original copies of these documents are necessary upon final approval.

Advantages offered to External Scholarship Students:
In accordance with the regulations outlined in the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (94) dated 3/29/1431 AH, governing the admission and support of non-Saudi students in Saudi Arabia's higher education institutions, external scholarship students receive the following advantages, without prejudice to any financial advantages specified in the universities' financial regulations.
Healthcare coverage for the duration of their studies.
A two-month preparation allowance upon arrival in the Kingdom.
A three-month graduation allowance for book shipping.
Access to discounted meals.
Providing accommodation and comprehensive support in academic, social, cultural, and training aspects.
Compensation for the initial flight ticket to the Kingdom.
Monthly remuneration equivalent to that of Saudi students.
Annual remuneration for purchasing books and references within the study period.
A bonus of excellence for the student who obtains an excellent grade in each academic year.
Annual travel ticket to the student's place of residence, which can be used at any time of the year.
Visa and residency services facilitated by the university.
Application Procedures for an External Scholarship at PNU:
Apply via “Study in Saudi” platform during the specified dates announced annually. For additional information, please visit the following link: https://studyinsaudi.moe.gov.sa/
Upload the required documents in PDF or JPEG format through the platform during the application process.
Upon submitting the application, you will receive an application number. It is your responsibility to follow up, amend, and check the status of your application through the platform.
Once the applicant obtains initial approval for the application, as per the Ministry of Education's instructions, the final approval request for her university studies will be processed. Students will be notified via email and phone once final approval from the Ministry of Education is granted.​


Controls for External Scholarship Termination
As outlined in the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (94) dated 3/29/1431 AH, governing the admission and support of non-Saudi students in Saudi higher education institutions:

- Upon completion of their studies, external scholarship students must leave the Kingdom within three months. 

- Extension of the program duration beyond half of its original period is not permitted.



General Guidelines:

Applications failing to meet the required conditions and documents will be eliminated.
Online approval of an application does not guarantee final approval. Thus, admitted candidates will be notified upon final approval by the Ministry of Education.
The applicant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all data and documents submitted in her application. If it is found otherwise, the university has the right to eliminate the application.
In accordance with the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (94) dated 3/29/1431 AH, governing the admission and support of non-Saudi students in Saudi higher education institutions:
· Residency regulations within the Kingdom apply to the scholarship students.
· External scholarship students are registered in the university’s registers and are under its responsibility.
· Transfer from one university to another is generally not permitted for scholarship students. However, exceptions may be granted by the university under specific circumstances.
· The university notifies relevant authorities in the Kingdom regarding scholarship students whose requests for deferment or withdrawal have been accepted, as well as those who have dropped out of studies for any reason, for necessary action.
· External scholarship students are not allowed to engage in employment with companies, institutions, or individuals while pursuing their studies.
· Sponsorship transfer of external scholarship students to another entity or bringing their family members to the Kingdom is not allowed.
