PNU signs a MOU with the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance
Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance on Monday 20 July 2020, to activate the integrated work between them in a way that would positively reflects on the mutual works in a number of programs, initiatives and research.
The cooperation did include several areas that are related to the activities and services of each party which are divided into different fields: the strategic field; which is concerned with the developing policies and procedures related to the two parties activities and projects in order to achieve institutional excellence and management of change. While the MOU has focused on the cooperation in the field of Data analysis and collection by activating the partnership in the scientific research areas and various applied experiences in data collection and development in addition to providing support in preparing comparative studies.
On the other hand, the memorandum focused on cooperation in the fields of training, development, human capital, develop educational materials related to the activities of the two parties and creating specific training programs and majors in addition to benefiting from the human capital and working to develop and train employees of both parties on related activities and experiences. The memorandum also included cooperation in the field of developing digital transformation systems and the stages of launching the unified platform.
On this occasion, the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Health Affairs at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, Dr. Nasser Al-Sane'a explained that the role of PNU in this cooperation is to provide training in the field of health insurance sector according to accredited programs with high standards to meet the labour market needs in addition to creating a cadre of specialized Saudis and developing their skills to reach the ranks of developed countries in this field.
AlSane'a also stressed that the outputs of this cooperation from research and studies related to health insurance will benefit the economy of the health sector, as this will lead to provide an enormous amount of information that decision-makers can draw upon when developing future health plans and help in efficient spending in the health field.
On the other hand, the Executive Director of the Strategy and Institutional Excellence of the Cooperative Health Insurance Council, Mr. Mansour Al Sarhan, explained, "The memo came in line with the Council's vision towards enhancing the quality of health services by raising the efficiency of private health insurance and it also supports its strategic goals in improving sustainability and innovation in the sector in addition to the Stimulating digital transformation and working as a leading organizational body that has flexibility in learning". He also stressed that the Council is keen to enhance cooperation with Princess Nourah University and benefit from its specialized and diverse human expertise as well as its technical capabilities.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at Princess Nourah University. The university was represented by the General Supervisor of the General Administration of Health Affairs, Dr. Nasser Al-Sanea and the Cooperative Health Insurance Council, it was represented by Executive Director of Strategy and Organizational Excellence, Mr. Mansour Al-Sarhan, with the presence of HE the President of the University, Dr. Enas AlEissa and the Secretary-General of the Cooperative Health Insurance Council, Dr. Shabab AlGhamdi.
This comes in the belief of PNU and the Cooperative Health Insurance Council that the partnerships between different sectors are the main factor of success in achieving the goals of Vision 2030, as it is a long-term cooperation between multiple independent entities to achieve common goals.
