Yesterday, 01/07/1441 AH, Dr. Abdul-Karim Omar Al-Sweidaa, Executive Director in King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital in Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, opened specialized obstetrics and gynecology and one-day surgeries unit to join medical department systems in the hospital.
Dr. Al-Sweidaa stated that opening specialized obstetrics and gynecology clinics and one-day surgeries unit is an extension for specialized medical services provided by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital in different fields among integrated specializations, stating that the hospital is under expansion in specialized services according to the provided operational plans.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Enzi, Director General of Medical Affairs in the hospital, clarified that specialized obstetrics and gynecology clinics are equipped with the most recent planning and sonar devices, with specialized clinics to raise the awareness of pregnant women and submit preparatory sessions for safe labor, which is characterized by high privacy.
Dr. Al-Enzi added that one-day surgeries enables the patient to be admitted and discharged on the same day without any requirement for anesthetization and procedures that require long stay such as catheterization and endoscopies, which reduce the use of beds for stay, and the term within which the patient stays in the hospital.
It is worth noting that King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital, in Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, is deemed one of the best academic and medical benchmarks in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, due to the high-level human capacities and medical equipment depending on the importance of the optimal investment for the capacities it owns.
