On Thursday 7/5/1441 AH corresponding to 2/1/2020 AD, Prof. Abdul-Kareem Al-Suwaida, the CEO of King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz University Hospital at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), has signed a memorandum of understanding with Dr. Muhammad Omair, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Charitable Association for Rheumatic diseases. The memorandum aims to enhance the bilateral cooperation between both sides, exchange experiences and skills in clinical fields and develop clinical skills in order to achieve integration and advancement for their programs. The memorandum also aims to establish joint health training programs, in accordance with the need of both parties, in addition to achieving integration by taking advantage of other capabilities and experiences both parties have to serve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Prof. Al-Suwaida indicated the hospital’s interest in concluding agreements and partnerships, especially with universities and specialized associations, to exchange experiences and information in the various scientific and developmental fields, especially as they have a positive impact on investing the potentials they possess and directing energies to achieve the desired goals. He also underlined the importance of the integrative relationship between governmental institutions and concerned associations, which will contribute to advancing education and training and benefiting from expertise and experiences in a way that helps in achieving the pillars of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and thus improving the quality of business and raising the efficiency of employees of the concerned bodies.
For his part, Dr. Omair, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Charitable Association, expressed his pride in the strategic partnership between King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz University Hospital at PNU and the Association. He said, “The hospital is a strategic partner of the major partners in the field of serving rheumatism patients in terms of conducting joint replacement operations and providing medical services for rheumatism patients”. Dr. Omair added, “We hope this partnership is one of the model partnerships signed by the association, in the context of raising the level of providing quality services for rheumatism patients who are in urgent need of health care, and to improve the quality of life for them”.
Furthermore, the hospital executives, Professor Muhammad Al-Zahrani, Executive Director of the Association, and Dr. Zuhair Al-Amari, Administrative and Financial Director of the Association have attended the signing of the memorandum.
