In the context of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University's endeavour to create a supportive environment for researchers' creativity, to employ creative energy, and to develop creative thinking to serve society's issues and achieve the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 in scientific research. The College of social work has recently organized a student forum entitled (Vision of a Nation) in the presence of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Dr. Nawal Al-Rasheed, the deans of colleges, faculty members and university students in various disciplines.
In this regard, the Dean of College of social work, Dr. Jehan bint Saleh Laradi, pointed out that the primary goal of holding such student forums is to create meaningful intellectual mobility that contributes to achieving the goals of the vision, in addition to developing the skills of students and supporting their capabilities.
The Chair of the Scientific Committee and Supervisor of the Vision Club, Dr. Huda bint Abdulaziz Al-Dughairi pointed out that this forum has an effective role in building a student community that contributes to achieving the vision by employing scientific research. As well as monitoring the nation's issues in the light of the vision and contributing to raising the scientific and cultural level of university students.
The forum included a film about the vision produced by the University's Vision Club, in addition to the participation of the vision offices in the Ministries of (Health, Education, Justice, Hajj and Umrah, Finance and Energy System) in the forum to review the best practices and initiatives implemented by the offices to contribute to achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 through the presentation of documentary films and an introduction corner to the achievements of the office, in addition to distributing a number of souvenirs and introductory gifts to members of the educational body and students.
The forum also included a scientific contest that contained two axes: the first: scientific research and the second: scientific posters, with the aim of enriching the academic field and displaying the scientific and creative output of students.
At the end of the forum, the winners were awarded in the contest axes for each axis, five ranks, and the participants varied in different disciplines between humanities and health.
