Statement of the Rector of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University on the Occasion of the Fifth Anniversary of the Pledge of Allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is commemorating the fifth pledge of allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for taking over the power. On this occasion, I am honored, on behalf of myself and all the staff of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, to extend our sincere congratulations to His Highness, and praying to Allah to grant His Highness abundant health and well-being. As well as protecting him to the homeland, and to help him and his   honest Crown Prince to achieve the elevation of the name of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in every forum.

Today, five years have passed, and the Kingdom is thriving and growing, and under the leadership of its King Salman, firmness and determination in steady footsteps and huge achievements in various fields, making it a source of pride and appreciation for all of us.

The Kingdom has achieved in the last five years a qualitative development and economic projects, and adopted policies and decisions for development and modernization and upgrading of this nation. These education decisions and projects had the largest share, as the issuance of the new university law recently has enhanced lifting of the competitiveness of university education and future outputs,  the gains offered by the system on the level of investment in human capital, promoting productivity, developing scientific and research capabilities, and overcoming obstacles to university decision-making resilience.

It may be one of our pride as Saudi women that our wise government has empowered of women, whose participation in the era of King Salman increased from 19.4% at the end of 2017 to 23.2% by the end of the second half of 2019, based on the belief in the important role of women in the service of the nation and its advancement.

This increase in the empowerment rates of women, along with the attention paid to her education, expansion and enhancement, is an incentive for every female student to do her best to achieve the aspirations of the nation and raise its banner globally. This is undoubtedly, what the girls of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman are seeking to do, in a serious trip to get educated and to reach their hopes and ambitions until they raised the name of the country in many scientific participations and international forums in various disciplines and fields locally and globally. They are driven by the passion of the love of the homeland and leadership, which supported them and eliminated all obstacles they may encounter along the way.

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, including what it has reached today and provided, is only a product of the parental support of the leader of the renaissance and progress, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his honest Crown Prince, towards a vision that pulses in the hearts of the Saudis, and leading them to the glory with the power of Allah.

May Allah protect our homeland precious and lofty, preserve the governors and leaders of our development march, and perpetuate the grace of security and stability in our country under our leader, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and H.H. the Crown Prince.
