The Director of the Intellectual Property Department at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Ms. Al-Hanouf Al-Qubaa, participated in the 2nd Qassim Forum for Creativity and Innovation under the title “Smart Agriculture… Innovation and Food Security", with the aim of presenting her invention, which was registered in the Saudi Patent Office and is owned by Ms. Al-Hanouf Al-Qabaa and Ms. Ghada Al-Qahtani, under the supervision of Dr. Afaf al-Jubeir, a fruit-picking device under the name of the “Electronic Fruit Picker".
Al Qaba's participation in the exhibition comes as part of the University's efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which is to develop the agricultural sector and achieve food security using the latest techniques and modern methods in this field.
The Forum has covered the most challenging obstacles facing this vital sector in the Kingdom, and also addressed the latest developments in this field through the objectives and themes of the Forum, including a scientific program, a specialized exhibition and a theater for future innovations in the agricultural sector and its vital role in development.
