College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Wins Three Silver Medals at the International Exhibition of Ideas, Inventions, and Innovations (IENA-2025)

The College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University won three silver medals for innovations in the field of health technologies at the International Exhibition of Ideas, Inventions, and Innovations (IENA-2025), held in Nuremberg, Germany. IENA is one of the world’s leading exhibitions dedicated to showcasing and evaluating innovative and pioneering ideas from around the globe. The college’s achievement came through the participation of several students from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, who presented outstanding innovations, including: Sensory Assessment : an innovative medical tool that assists physical therapists and neurologists in evaluating neurological injuries, Brachial Plexus Palsy Rehabilitation Suit: a medical innovation designed to help assess and treat children with palsy, equipped with sensors that stimulate the muscles, and The Smart Shoe: an intelligent device for children who walk on their toes, designed to correct gait patterns and provide therapeutic sessions for assessing and monitoring the child’s condition. The college’s participation in the exhibition aimed to promote a culture of innovation and scientific creativity at the international level, facilitate effective communication with researchers and innovators worldwide, and strengthen the university’s presence in global arenas as a leading institution in innovation and health rehabilitation. Dr. Modawi Al-Atibi, Director of the Innovation Unit at the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, stated that “the university’s participation in the exhibition represents a pioneering model for investing national female talents in the fields of health innovation,” noting that “these accomplishments reflect the university’s commitment to knowledge empowerment and leadership in shaping a future grounded in research and innovation.” It is noteworthy that the International Exhibition of Ideas, Inventions, and Innovations (IENA-2025) was held from 1–3 November 2025. The exhibition serves as a platform that brings together inventors, universities, research centers, technology companies, and intellectual property organizations from around the world to exchange knowledge and explore investment opportunities. The college’s participation reflects its dedication to contributing to the goals of Princess Nourah University’s Strategic Plan 2025, by enhancing academic and research excellence, encouraging students to participate in international forums, providing a supportive environment for scientific research and health innovation, and building bridges of communication with local and global communities.
