College of Medicine Organizes “Walk for Her” Event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Princess Nourah University’s College of Medicine will organize the “Walk for Her” event on Friday, 31 October 2025, coinciding with the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month and under the patronage of the Acting University President, Dr. Fawzia bint Sulaiman Al-Amro. The event targets university faculty, staff, students, and their families. Held with the participation of the College of Sports Sciences and Physical Activity and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital, the event aims to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer, promote physical activity for prevention and overall health, and encourage community engagement in health initiatives. The event includes a 1.6 km walking trail, interactive awareness and health booths, and sports activities to promote healthy lifestyles and preventive practices. Dr. Reem Al-Harbi, Dean of the College of Medicine, emphasized that the event reflects students’ commitment to community service and carries a message of empowerment aligned with Vision 2030’s aim of building a vibrant society. “Walk for Her” aligns with PNU’s Strategic Plan 2025 to promote health awareness, support preventive health practices, and cultivate a university environment that prioritizes well-being.
